Ways to Succeed

Ten things you can do to help you succeed in school

 

  1. HAVE A GOOD DICTIONARY AND ATLAS IN YOUR HOUSE.  
  2. HAVE A QUIET AND WELL-LIGHTED PLACE TO STUDY AND WRITE.  (NO RADIOS, TVS, OR SIBLINGS ALLOWED)  
  3. RESERVE ONE HOUR A NIGHT WHEN YOU MAY ONLY DO HOMEWORK OR READ.  
  4. HAVE BOOKS, MAGAZINES, AND NEWSPAPERS IN YOUR HOUSE.  SOME OF  THE READING MATERIALS SHOULD BE OF YOUR CHOOSING.  
  5. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR WORK DAILY AND BE SATISFIED IF YOU FEEL YOU  HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB.  
  6. SEEK THE HELP OF YOUR TEACHERS BEFORE AND/OR AFTER SCHOOL IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE IN UNDERSTANDING YOUR ASSIGNMENTS.  
  7. MAINTAIN GOOD ATTENDANCE.  REMEMBER THE STUDENTS WHO RARELY MISS USUALLY ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST MARKS.  
  8. SET GOALS FOR YOURSELF IN SCHOOL.  IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO  STRIVE FOR,  IT WILL HELP INSPIRE YOU TO ACHIEVE IT.  
  9. TAKE PART IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.  THE MOST ACTIVE STUDENTS ENJOY SCHOOL THE MOST.  
  10. SHARE WHAT YOU LEARNED IN SCHOOL EACH DAY WITH YOUR PARENTS.
